Yasuhide Kunimoto, (Oita, 1984) graduated from Fukuoka University and created numerous exhibitions in Japan (both personal and collective) and many commissioned works in private and public structures. It is the artist himself who guides us in reading his work: 'How precisely can I memorize what I have seen in my life? The answer became clear as I painted. When I discovered that I could not materialize “what I had seen” – or “what I had visually perceived” – exactly as it was in my paintings, I realized what a wavering world I live in – the world in which I only approximately perceive the things around me and I call this my “memory”. The more we depend on our vision as a source of information, the more unreliable the information becomes.'
