biography
Alex Pinna was born in Imperia in 1967.
He graduated in Painting at the Academy of Fine Arts in Brera (Mi), then he approaches the contents of children's painting, working on characters from comics and fairy tales, until his encounter with sculpture, which he defines as "a silent language, indestructible and ephemeral, fragile and doubtful, like us”.
As self-taught sculptor, in his research he works with a canon that is comprehensible to the public, in which it is possible to recognize oneself and identify with.
Since 1994 he has been the protagonist of solo and group exhibitions in Italy, in Europe (Budapest, Colonia, Grenoble, Ibiza, Londra, Lugano, Monaco, Ptuj , Rijeka), America (Los Angeles, New York, Santo Domingo), China (Shanghai) and Israel (Tel Aviv).
He is currently lecturer for the Chair of Sculpture at the Academy of Fine Arts in Turin and the LAO (Liceo Artistico Orsoline) in Milan, where he lives and works.
